Sunday Morning Coming Down

SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN (music and lyrics by K Kristofferson, revised by A McKenna)

Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my scottie head that didn’t hurt
And the puddle water I had for breakfast wasn’t bad
So I had kitty litter poo for dessert
Then Mr Bear fumbled in his closet
And found his favorite Star Wars shirt
Then I brushed my sticky beard and combed by skirt
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day

On a Sunday Morning Couch
I’m wishing, dog, that I was gone
Cause there’s nothing like a Sunday
That makes a Scottie feel alone
And there’s nothing short of aroooing
That’s half as lonesome as the sound
Of the empty TV room couch
And Sunday morning coming down

  1. Made me smile, Miss McKenna — just want you to know that those are NOT Tootsie Rolls mixed in The Cat Box. Would still kiss you. Love, Charlene of Scottsdale

  2. There must be something going on celestially that you and I are sensitive to…….we’ve been the same way. Today however, the morning was crisp, you could feel the seasons shifting…I barked at some inferior dogs, and my melancholy eased. I’m told we are going to Charleston for a wedding at the end of the month…..that will perk both Mama and me up.

  3. Yes Skyler Braveheart, exactly what I was going to say. Mercury is retrograde and it has all been pointing at that in this neck of my woods….even down to someone bashing into my car in a parking lot and then driving off without leaving a note…….grrrrr!!!! and Venus has been doing a bum dance too, so that means relationships and money issues…….sigh !!

  4. ……..and yes Ainsley, you can tick that box of things to do before you leave for the Rainbow Bridge. Quite good I would say.
